Schweinfurt municipal wastewater treatment plant
A pioneering eco laboratory becomes part of an innovative process water treatment system
In addition to the usual wastewater treatment plant operations, the Schweinfurt municipal wastewater treatment plant is developing solutions to counter possible water shortages. The newly designed plant, including a modern environmental laboratory, offers the best conditions for the corresponding research project in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich. In order to treat waste water for reuse, monitored filter and purification processes are needed to ensure that the water quality is safe. High-quality analysers ensure the quality of the results. The well-designed building – planned and realised by the engineering office Miller in Nuremberg – with an area of 465 square metres provides sufficient space for this. For the tender for the laboratory equipment, the engineering office contacted our partner TH. GEYER, who was able to convince them with an optimal price-performance ratio for a Köttermann laboratory equipment made of durable steel.
