Ergonomic
Ergonomically adapted to the activities at and the processes in the fume cupboard, all fume cupboard functions can be operated with one hand.
User-defined
As each fume cupboard use is individual, functions can be configured on demand via the web-based touch-set-up interface.
Hazardous material display
Warning pictograms indicating the danger of superstructures or the chemicals used are now displayed digitally by the TouchTronic.
Associated comments can be conveniently typed in as well. There is no need for further labelling on the outside of the fume cupboard.
The clear and easy-to-read touchscreen thanks to the modern IPS panel gives a complete overview of all functions. Even with gloves of varying thickness, the desired setting can be entered, and the touchscreen reacts accordingly sensitively.
Electronic fume cupboard control
The AirMonitor electronically monitors the air volume flow or the face velocity.
AirControl variably controls the extract air by enabling a direct connection between the TouchTronic and the extract air controls of leading manufacturers. The need for additional control panels is therefore eliminated.
The AutoProtect fume cupboard function closes the sash automatically. After all, one of the main tasks of fume cupboards is to protect against splashing substances or, if the worst comes to the worst, against shattering materials. In these situations, the sash must be closed. A presence infrared sensor closes the sash immediately when the laboratory worker moves away from the fume cupboard.
The CloseGuard uses a light grid to monitor whether there are any obstacles protruding from the fume cupboard and stops the closing process in such a case. Even transparent objects such as glass bottles are detected thanks to a particularly sensitive optical system.
To make operation as easy as possible, there is a practical foot switch. This opens or closes the sash when there is no free hand.
Working heights can be individually adjusted via VarioTop – particularly convenient for varying requirements, such as changing working heights or different test set-ups.
The collection and storage of liquid hazardous substances pose a special challenge for safety in the laboratory. Direct disposal in a collection system integrated in the fume cupboard, including storage of the hazardous substances in safety cabinets, ensures maximum safety. LevelControl is the name of the function integrated in the TouchTronic that ensures direct monitoring of the waste canister levels in the fume cupboard. A maximum of two of these functions can be connected per fume cupboard.
There are programmable sockets inside the fume cupboard for an application-specific power supply.
Everything in sight
To ensure that the interior is illuminated in the best possible way even in difficult lighting conditions, the lighting illuminates it with 1,000 lux. This higher light intensity is already common in Scandinavia and contributes to a better overview and thus safety in the fume cupboard.
